advice on electric shavers please

fed up with wet shaving so thought I would buy a philishave untill I saw the price staggered £450 upwards , what are you guys using ? would nt mind £80 but £450 no way , look at the kit you can get for that monies eh

Braun Series 7. I used to have Series 9 which I wasn't prepared to replace like for like because of the cost. The 9 was mains / battery which I miss, but the Series 7 charges very fast for one use.

don t remember . just re coiled from the price , double checked it was the right shelf marker etc and walked away in dis belief

I don’t change the heads every year as recommended, I get about 3 or 4 years out of a shaver & buy a new one as a set of heads is not far off the cost of a new one. I did order some once, but reckoned they were fakes as they were worse than the old ones.

Not much difference …… apart from the cost I would think. Cutters are the same or very similar

I would go for Braun in the hope their latter offerings are as good as mu current.
I've had a Braun series 7 for circa 15 years. I'm on my second cleaning station and 4th genuine Braun shaving head.
I use it a fair bit and it is excellent, even when I go away for a few weeks the battery still performs every day.

I don't buy overpriced Braun cleaning juice tho!

Without a doubt the main constituent, and I used to be cheap enough to make my own diluted down from it.

Another vote for Braun, I had a series 5 for about 15 years and when it finally died I bought a series 3 for about £60.

I use a Braun Series 3. One handy feature is that it will still work whilst being charged. I'm not sure if that applies to Series 5 and above.

Travel shavers aren't at all bad.

The Philips is good for a half decent shave from a couple of days growth, whilst the Braun M90 gives a really close shave.

Having f'all hair seems to be more maintenance than a bonce like @Wozzaaah 's triffids hair growth! Unless I want to look like cat weasel with nothing in the middle

I now have 2 of these as recently got one as a birthday present, they are ok for a while but the heads soon go and are not worth replacing. I prefer the soap and scraper anyway.
