Yes, some of the charging points are programable, others you go public on line with them. This is the one Im looking at think I just set the rate via the app. Plan to add solar and batteries to that cottage too, once I can find an outfit who actually have half a clue and can answer a few simple questions!

Do yourself a favour and go for a type 2 socket, not an attached lead. Cheaper purchasing and maintaining for yourself plus it allows those with older type 1 connectors on their cars to use their own convertor leads. Any EV driver should have a type 2 cable in the car these days.

Not quite as bad as communist era Skodas Lada and FSO Polonez, but getting that way in the quality of interior materials and fitment.

American stuff does tend to be a bit cheaper built than the European equivalent - I used to drive a Ford Contour (Mondeo) back in 1999 (not exactly current, I admit ) fabric covered cardboard sun visors -which I thought were last used on a Triumph Dolomite in 1975 over here. I spent a couple of months using the key in the drivers door to lock it . . and then discovered it didn;t have central locking, and the other three doors had been open all the time

My Dodge isn't exactly the last word in plushness - lot of plastic - but it has a big V8 up front that sounds nice, that rocks the car when it starts up

Indeed I do, a three-cylinder 2 stroke which [being 2-stroke] gave similar performance to a 6 cylinder straight 6. Mine was a Bank HP repossession [ergo really cheap ] and had a freewheel system built in, so if you timed it right clutchless changes were possible.

It had some of the most comfortable seats I've ever experienced, bar none! [and I've owned a fair few marques/models over my motoring career.....

It saved my life when I ran it head-on into the front of a Council wagon [long story with which I won't bore you all with here]. I walked out of it with head cuts [always more claret than there need be....] and aches all over. Was taken to hospital and X-rayed sent home with head stitched and told to rest. There was a bump in the roof where my head had connected and the plastic rimmed/steel cored s/wheel was bent right over until the 2 halves were touching

You might be eligible for this grant if you live in a flat or rental property, and could receive up to £350 towards the cost of installing a charge point at a dedicated off-street parking site at your home.

What has all the free domestic money gone? The grants finished?

We in bussiness - are getting 120% tax relief on green things still - there is still "free money" about for installing public charging points.

Meant to say that it had a separate chassis of iirc c. 50mm square box tube, and importantly shaped like an egg with the small end pointed forwards. If you've ever tried to break an [uncracked!! ] egg you'll know it's almost impossible with average hand strength. The whole from of mine was bend up like a snooty nose - that's what saved me, I reckon in anything 'normal' I'd have been in a box. Who wore seat-belts in those days aaaanyways?

I bought in some pattern suspension parts for a 2017 Tesla 3 today.

Moog - has started making pattern parts for them - got them by ordering them froma local motor factors.

Car has 73k on clock and punter reckons he paid just over £40k for it - it is out of sales warranty - and it is a mess under it.

When I've had my cars in for MOT, after I've had a ganders under mine and been certain there's nothing to worry about, I usually get bored and take a look under stuff up on other ramps - and I've been gob-smacked at how much rust is under cars, or on suspension, on cars of an age I would still consider new, or quite new.

Wear - serious supension wear for the mileage - nothing bent - wheel rims not marked.

They're heavy, all that evenly distributed mass and instant-on torque takes it's toll on suspension components - as do UK roads.
