These laws cannot and will never prevent any and all attacks, just designed to make it easier for the police to detain likely suspects that previous laws would not. They are being abused somewhat however when wearing a teeshirt outlining your political thoughts gets you arrested (tony B liar)... when one saying FCUK you ******* would probably not....

just be glad you dont live in a police state....this kind of discussion could get you locked up without trial in a few places

The point I am making if you have nothing to hide why cause suspicion and not give your name when asked due to the current climate. If you want to be an idiot about it take the concequences. Your last quote satisfied my suspicion!!

This hasn't been the point you have been trying to make in the last 5 or 6 posts you have made. You have been attempting to argue that the terrorism laws are necessary and are for the benefit of the UK. I have pointed the flaws in each of the arguments you have proposed, only for you to attempt to launch personal attacks.

The sad fact is that our freedoms, hard won by our parents & grandparents have gradually been eroded by successive governments.

While the police are busy controlling us, the real criminals (politicians bankers etc) are getting away with murder.

911, London, Glasgow et all have been a godsend to the executive allowing them to pass draconian laws (without full debate) that even at the height of the Irish troubles wouldn’t have got a first reading.

I remember “The ring of steel” when I lived in London

It was put up to stop the IRA blowing things up

The police had a field day stopping folks just for the fun of it

in fact the first guy that they stopped was a black in a Vauxhall Astramax van and they searched the ash tray

I know that stuff can be made much smaller these days but can you make bombs that small ?

Lots of guys got messed about until the IRA drove an 11 ton dump truck into the city and blew up Bishopsgate

They did so on a Saturday when trucks weren't allowed in central London ,well done plod

I got that impression too, several of these sorts of vids around maybe something to do with tpuc...

I haven't watched the vid, but I did read this thread with interest. I then read that webpage and think the person that wrote it should think about what they've written. Basically he says you should not give your name because you don't HAVE to (true...), but you WILL get arrested (true...a lot of hassle too, and you won't get a ticket, you'll go to court...).

Odd advice really, overall.

Also he seems to believe you can fail to consent to being fingerprinted in a police station. Oh dear, wrong answer.

Just watched the video, and he has all the language of a 'freeman'. (see the tpuc link on page 1).

According to them (tpuc), if you give your name, you are giving your consent for the police officer (aka policy enforcer) to apply the policies of the public limited company they are employed by (HM Government, plc).

They claim that there is common law (no killing, robbing, or generally harming others and there interests), and there are policies, statutes, and acts of parliament. The latter are essentially company policies. These policies are only legally enforcable upon you if you give consent. You can give this consent in two key ways. 1) Provide them with your name, 2) say yes when they ask you if you 'understand' them. Both of these methods have legal background, and the guy is very clear in saying he does not stand under them (i.e. understand).

According to the guy behind the site, there are many words used, that do not legally mean what common language would suggest they mean. The one that stuck out to me was 'register'. Legally this means that you sign over ownership of the thing that you are registering. So when your car/bike/truck was registered with the DVLA.... This is how they can legally take it off of you and crush it if you don't pay certain fines/penalties. It's their vehicle to crush, you are 'just' the registered keeper. Also birth certificates is when you register your children. Social services can then legally take them off of you if they see fit.

Of course the behaviour encouraged is more likely to get you arrested.
