I know you are a collector but would you see any profit if you sold these after restoration?

Both.
If this particular car didn't go to someone who could restore it themselves it would for sure be parted out and scrapped. It was probably going towards scrap yard when I bought it as someone had already cut the cat off it and the car was very cheap. I think I paid £450 from memory.
When I have it restored it will be worth £6k ish in 2025 and going up each year. This particular car isn't that desirable other models like my E320 Sportline coupe will be worth double that for the same investment in buying it and my time.
So both. I would make a little money if I sold them after doing all the work but I don't restore them to sell them on. I keep them and as each year goes by the fleet is worth more £ so it's a win win in my books. Worse hobbies to be at, at least this one does appreciate in value with time.
