Unless you wish to use the checker plate for the pattern, I also have round off cut which is 6mm thick, if you send me the measurements.
I could plasma cut, turn the lip on the lathe and post it to you.
That is an incredibly generous offer, one which I’m going to take up. Let me know how many beer tokens will be involved. Pm just about to be sent

Post the dimensions of the lid and I'll have a crack at it, might be nice for the others here to see the photos of the pot.
A centre hole for location for turning, would be my choice.
Now do you want the lid to be a slightly larger diameter than the outer lip with an inner lip for location? Pm arrive halfway though typing this message
Just a rotating table turned by a worm drive. Either powered or un powered. Can be used with dividing plates too.I don’t know anything about what a rotary table can do, is this something you can do with your mill?
What lathe have you got @Parm ? Like most of the guys here I can only manage 9" ( Oo Er Mrs) but for a one off I would be thinking of putting 1/2" spacers between the head and bed to give me 10".
Or is that the random musings of a lathe new boy?
Edit: Ignore that, I missed the last two posts.
Cauldron came up nice, ParmAwesome, I’ll have a proper measure up tommorow and knock up a better sketch. It’s rough cast and not very accurate so I’ll have to be guided by you and the other knowledge folk here on tolerance and clearances. Centre hole will be fine
Here’s the pot

Will post up another diagram with better and more accurate dimensions
