So I just bought a 9 inch makita ga9020 angle grinder in Jan sales cheap because it was the outgoing model and was in clearance.
I'm a hobbyist welder looking to work with steel box section tube around 20 x 20 to max 100 x 100mm. I have a few scrap car panels that I'm using to practice body welding as well.
After reading online I'm concerned this tool is far too big, powerful and dangerous for my needs. Would this big grinder have a high risk of disc failure than a smaller one? Or will it be fine for cutting say 40-50mm box section?
Probably should have spent more time reading before buying
