Just sold a true workhorse. An 80 series Land Cruiser,I had it for 10 years,never put a foot wrong(apart from a leaking steering box) 4.2 straight 6 diesel. dual batteries for 12v running and 24v starting.27 mpg average always. Any temperature the engine was running before you had finished turning the key.Go anywhere,pull anything, Centre diff lock,rear diff lock, front diff lock.8 seats forward facing, 3rd row of seats fold up or remove in seconds,
I find the L200 Too high to work from at the rear you have to climb into get at anything further in that a couple of foot, on your knees and the ridges kill the kneecaps.
They do have engine faults they knock out big ends, and crack the newer style block, Ive rebuilt a few you are better getting the older shogun block it is stronger.
Landcruiser is the tool built like a truck. I am not aware of many faults on them.
They do the vw transporter in a 4wd version,a mate had one and he liked it, got up his farm lane no bother.
