You win that one!
I love the phrase ,,,
''As Im sure you are aware ,,, ''
Translates into ,, you havnt a f ing clue so shut up and Ill tell you..
but do tell on the CHAV lights
Ex Rover engineers working with German engineers for BMW on new 'mood lighting' for the cabin. English engineers referred to them as Chav lights - as in Essex Chavs. German engineers assumed this was an acronym and adopted it without question.
At a meeting in Germany (held in English) the German Lead Engineer referred to the project using the term CHAV lights in a PowerPoint slide. The chairman of the meeting asked what that meant. The Engish engineer present came up with an appropriate backronym on the hoof. I don't recall it exactly but it included Cabin, Ambient and Vehicle. The H escapes me. Not only was it quick, but the word order was also German - or Military if you prefer.
Went with the spuds idea all round, so currently held together by friction and gravity while I work out how to clamp it up and drill some bolt holes....
Misses the point entirely and tries to work out what the blue splodge is hiding.......
ratchet strap , right round where your working ,, that will do all the holding you need
crafty and cunning ,,, theres no escaping the eye of an old hand.
Part of my address, written on the leg by the steel supplier.
That ceiling would annoy me.
I digress, looks good
We know you live in God's Hallowed Triangle.........................
It irritates me too but there's so much crap stored up there I can't do much about it at the moment.
That's fine. I don't necessarily want everyone to know exactly where though, and the bit of info on the leg would have given it away.
Not the...... Not the Buckfast triangle!
Its the finest triangle of Englandshire as I live there too!
The residents of Winnersh may have something to say about that.
As the founder - and so far sole - member of the Northumbria Independence Party* I would dispute that Englandshire.
I would like Durham, North Yorkshire, Westmoreland and Scotland to the Firth of Forth back please whilst we are on the subject.
*Edit: previously known as the Free Northumbria Party and too many previous alcohol fueled ramblings to recall.
I do frames like that with tapped lugs to fit in the box, then bolt from the back....
Example in this thread...
That is basically how I'm doing this. With a little added reinforcement.
Separate names with a comma.
