Hey leave my Colchester alone. His problem is with the L2 lathe. Lol
In my case D1-6 would not work either as I have D1-4 mounting.
Really nice to see someone going the extra mile to save a few quid though.

Why not put the register to the very outside of the L2 plate? And face the back of the chuck to suit?

I'd put the bolts at the back if possible, but if front mount is the only way...

I can. Backplates are available, as are chucks. However I paid 400 quid for the lathe, I haven't several grand to buy a new lathe or well over 1k to get a new integral L2 chuck, so work around like this are the way forward. Plus I'll probably learn some stuff on the way.
