SWMBO has Passap knitting machines. They stopped making them about 30 years ago and new replacement plastic parts are NLA.
The photographs below are of yarn guides. She has never seen any NOS or used ones on eBay. You could struggle on with one held together with sellotape or even without altogether, but using the machine would be badly compromised.
This is her last complete one without the layers of glue, sellotape or other 'repairs'. She would assign a value of up to £20 for one. So no-one is going to make a fortune out of making functional replacements!
I know nothing about the time involved in drawing one let alone making one, but will risk asking the questions:
would it be practical to make them on hobby type 3D printers?
would anyone want to try making one?
