2k primer sealer

I use Kapci 625 daily, and find it perfectly adequate as a primer. It is 2k, and so provides a seal against anything underneath it. If you're saying it's powdery, then I would suggest that the gun is not spraying correctly, assuming you've mixed it 4:1, plus thinners. I've had this happen sometimes, or also when it's not thinned enough. HTH

Just because its 2k doesn't make it a good sealer, 2K primer can still suck in moisture, epoxy primer won't though so therefore is a good sealer.

Just to check, if I want to try an epoxy primer, would I be looking for a "2k epoxy primer"?

Yes, Lechler or HB Body are the best ones for automotive use.

Lechler 29107 is £15 a litre plus vat at Express Paints. Tin in pic says Express Paints but the 'more details' button leads to the Lechler data sheet. I haven't bought it yet but this was the cheapest price I could find online.

I have spent hours researching paints and am looking forward to the better weather so I can get the welding finished. I won't do another car restoration without a heated garage though. Hadn't banked on how much the weather would stop us getting on with stuff.
