If you can I would suggest the outputs wired in parallel and not series for double the amps and yes with some of the oil cooled you could, even some of the generator sets you can, you generally need to have a common control for them both.

I just wonder how much each control circuit would work against the other!.

If using two ac output oil cooled or two buzz boxes, you would have to make sure that each one was wired to give the same phase output, i.e. each one was going positive at the same time, negative at the same time. If wired wrong you would have a potential short circuit and I imagine the fuse/breaker or supply wires would not last very long.

Just had a look and found it mentioned for welding generators which are DC machines. Not sure if I am confusing some of the Oxford oil cooled multi-position welders for what you are suggesting.

Not sure i would try it to be honest.

Dc of course quite common fo gouging both units max amps

I think the issue is making sure both welders share the load equally, could be easier to do with DC machine I guess, any change in phase for ac outputs could be fatal for the machines.
Try pulling in some of the suppliers to see what they say?

A pal has had two Oxfords wired in parallel since he welded up the rowlocks for Noah's Ark. No problem. Lovely smooth combo to use with big rods and material.

Depends on the sets. My engine drive will twin up with another set it’s sopose to be with the same model but dosent need to be its even been used with one of a different make. Inverters are funnny some yes some no. My inverter won’t can’t even use it on same piece of work as another welder it’s output just drops right off if the other set is welding
