125cc road trike/car thing?

A mate wants a 125cc ( CBT ) road legal trike/car/buggy. Reason is he had an accident some time ago and cant get himself to get back on 2 wheels.

I have told him to get a full licence and get a bigger engine trike or go for a car, but nope.

So to the point.

After looking myself and cant find any are there any 125cc road legal trikes or buggys or the likes in kit form.

Smallest i have seen and once near got myself was a Quadzilla buggy but way to much. for him.

To me 125cc is just not enough umph for a trike or buggy.

or is he wanting a "biker" style trike? in which case, I'd say bit of a challenge, skinny wheels sap less power, but where to source em, not impossible but imho it would be an expensive build.

All he wants is a good looking thing, i said he will need a good £4k plus.

i have sent him the link to a few of the Yam Tricity. i think he mentiond them but wasnt keen on the street cred lol.

Secma Funtech 50cc. A 125cc conversion is common and easy as the engines tend to use similar mounting points.

Presumable that would need importing [unless you intend to use it as a thing to copy ]. I see a UK number plate but they look to be driving on the right in the background?

Yes he was in Forturventurer ( god knows how to spell that but its abroad ) when he took the pic, he isnt sure what it was.

He has hinted but sod that, to much done and spent to stop now and more than my life`s worth i reckon lol.

There's a very good reason for that.

probably..... were they as bad as that? never drove one obviously, but compared to no mobility at all, I don't doubt that those that had them were grateful enough. or were they really that bad?

good shout by norlander for the NABD, they have some amazing adaptions now.. definitely worth a shout. they might even be able to assist in the "financing" of it..

Close but no cigar they are in yaiza in lanzarote at campo phoenix. They are good fun but are underpowered.

Used to be back in the day, if you were on three wheels you could ride anything on a provisional licence so some entrepreneur invented the sidewinder, a leaning luggage rack attachment bit like a sidecar. I could never see the benefit I just tuned the **** out of my 125 and bent the law as much as I could. If you're registered disabled a trike doesn't need type approval either.
