hey also mean someone with a disability can get out and about with their kids...not everyone with a disability is child free nor getting state pension (I think some locally think they should get a "grey badge" to allow them to park inside the shop, given the amount without a blue badge who park in the closest disabled bay to the shop and give anyone under pension age who HAS a badge glares of death / keys their car (had it happen to mine more than a few times...haven't yet caught someone in the act....YET though)
I would just go for an out rigger with a box for gear/shoppin etc.
That's what the sidewinder essentially was, I haven't seen one for years but occasionally they bob up on ebay.

I am sure I have seen a fleet of them or similar vehicles in Paris, they are hired out to tourists for escorted tours round the city which would imply some sort of European type approval.Me on the right Chris the owner on the left if you're ever down there they are a good laugh and well worth it, the phoenix i'm making is for them.

Well this is hard work, he is unsure how much he has to spend. I have a feeling its less than £3k, a lot less.
Think a quad can be ridden on a car license too so (presuming you mate has one of them) wouldn't be an issue with engine restrictions/CBT.
However, quads are sketchy on the road. I'd rather ride any motorbike.
Good points boss, I think there are now, or were "sport" quads which had/have road tyres- mine had duals as it was a 4x4- so they might be better on tarmac?
must be info out there on the net.
Yea, there are "fast" or "road" quads. For some reason. I've seen a few but don't know if any have a diff.
Those ^^ look a lot less sketchy than anything off road derrived, much lower cog.
Why worry about changing the engine? If the chap in question has a car license, no need on that front. If he's fretting about the extra 100cc, just restrict the throttle to a comfortable level, either a washer in the inlet or a throttle cable restriction. Bet it doesn't stay restricted for long.
nice one- I couldn't find a picture when I searched- good photo showing the leaning 3rd wheel.
