Just make up a short extension lead, and mount the transformer in a corner or under the bench. Leave the 110 lead plugged in, just switch the box on an off as required.
And don't forget your transformer is centre tapped earth....
That's all I do. From years on outside work, I ended up with a legacy of a few 110V tools and a TX, which now sits under the bench and a long beefy extension lead to whatever tool I'm using. It's quite handy, as one or two of the 110V tools are worth having in the workshop.
