You're attention to all the little details is impressive, one day you'll be able to sit back and feel proud of what you've achieved, hopefully without being niggled by the tiny mistakes that only you know about.
Thanks for the Info on supplier, Madman, Daft or just plain Stupid I've not quite worked out which yet, as I've not even seen this boat yet
And as for the sailor I struggle finding my way around the towns oneway system knowing my luck Id stick it up the river inland or a sandbank .
I've just been pressganged into the un-hired help!! Mechanic by trade so engine & electrics are my job boat knowledge consists of pointy bits the front & blunt bit is the back, so the around world yacht race is out for the moment and I'll stick to the "put put boats" on local park lake as its deepest part is 3 ft. and I can walk back to land if the worst happens
Keep up with your Excellent work and thanks for sharing your project with us all
Geoff

I was a bit worried about your cradle looking at the picture of the first one in place but then you said you'll be bolting both cradles together so I breathed a sigh of relief.
I'd be tempted to put one locking castor on each side rather than two on one and none on the other, that way you can always lock one wheel at any corner of your boat if you want to pivot the boat around.
As for your tow hitch, was it so you could lock a caravan or trailer to the house to stop it going walkies ?
Great thread . Love the work done on the boat. Well done .
Great news that you moved her okay, It's typical that you do a good job on making the cradle only to be let down by the castors you bought.
I use the 4 for £1 ones in the supermarkets, rarely had one fail. The trouble with doing it on the cheap, they only cost £30 the set of 8, other wise a dam site more like £120. Doesnt always help to be a tight git.
Weel done for moving the boat on your own like that.
I think you're asking a bit much of those castors. The boat must weigh more than 1200kg? The trouble is, your castors are only rated at 150 kg each. If the ground isn't flat then you probably have half the weight of the boat plus the frame, on two castors!
