I've got 300,000 of them and can't use them - there's never any availability on any of the flights that I want/need to take.
TBH, I wouldn't recommend Avios (or the BA exec club) any more.

I do this through choice. I have a company CC but never use it. My expenses come to over £2k a month and I want to see the benefit from that. My CC at the moment is a Tesco one and due to the amount I spend on it every month I get loads of there points which if transferred to days out vouchers the money value quadruples. Every weekend I can take the kids to some cool places and it costs me only lunch.

I think it's only fair if your using your own money or credit

Ba bought the airline I had my miles program with (bmi) so it just kinda happened... they do conveniently fly to tampa though, the only carrier going there from the UK directly.

I've done it a couple of times now- I needed to use some points otherwise I was going to lose them so I ordered 12 bottles of wine- I think it's with lathwaites.

Be aware if you don't use points in a couple of years you lose them, you just need to spend some or collect some to keep them active.

The irony is that I'm doing 4 business class flights a year to the US so they keep piling up.

Parm I don't think that Concur is what you're looking for . We use it and it's really just an auditing service, it is good and easy to use but the expenses still have to be approved by someone internally too. Sorry but I have no idea of any others. You may not be able to use it as I would imagine that the company must have an account.

We don't spend any money at all on hotels - we have a company house that costs $1100 a month and sleeps three

I only go when nobody else is staying...
