Would kind of costs would it be to rewire this shed with sockets and render the walls?

If you are going to renovate in the near future and it may change what you are planning then I would do the minimum to use the space, can't see the point spending money until you are certain what the final plans for the building are.

If you decide to go ahead then putting a skim on the walls is not really too difficult to have a go at yourself, you would not manage the finish a professional would but may surprise yourself.

Have a look on youtube and perhaps mix some and give it a go to see what you think.

Yes well most of the stuff i will be making could be transferred over when i do renovate. So wont loose money there. So thats not a problem. As for the walls. A scratch coat and a lick of paint would maybe do to let me away for now. As for new sockets, im in desperate need. Ive completed electrical work before but recently read an article about fines for un certified electrical work being carried out. Comes with a costly £5000 fine if caught.

Don't forget the insulation, it makes a huge difference, even if you only do the ceiling.

An alternative to rendering/plastering the walls would be foam backed plasterboard. It comes from about 20mm insulation up to 100mm, and could in theory be quickly installed on those walls. I've recently got some of the 20mm boards and they were about 25 quid + vat for an 8x4 sheet IIRC

Self wiring isnt an issue as long as you get a proper bloke to make the final connection and test it.

Its stone so avoid the traditional cement based type renders and go for something more appropriate for the stone.
