Too true, I saw a smashed-up Victorian cast iron fireplace in the back of a scrap van. The guy told the builder smashed it in order to remove it.

The seat frames have a date of 1992 and 1987. So not that old.
But I have plans for them.

I have some Victorian frames in my garden. The were from a local park, as a double seat. But I have the as a single seat now.

I've blasted a few cast fireplaces and bench ends, they come up really well. The intricate detail is usually lost in layers of paint.

Buying or selling thats the question. Retail £150 a pair upwards in them posh salvage yards we have down here.

A new chuck from a popular Ebay tool supplier, it was a cheap and cheerful one so was not expecting miracles, however cheap should not mean rusty and covered in debris, have contacted them but going by their feedback I may be waiting some time for a reply

I won't name and shame in case they respond in a positive manner, don't mind giving anyone a chance to put things right.
