Oh yes the seat frames in the back ground were rescued from the scrap man.
The frames are worth a lot more than scrap value.
Too true, I saw a smashed-up Victorian cast iron fireplace in the back of a scrap van. The guy told the builder smashed it in order to remove it.
We're they not bolted down ?I have some Victorian frames in my garden. The were from a local park, as a double seat. But I have the as a single seat now.

Buying or selling thats the question. Retail £150 a pair upwards in them posh salvage yards we have down here.Are they actually worth very much now? Usually go for twenty quid or less a pair here. No slats obviously.
