i know mate thanks for the tip. i only do the ripples just for fun really.. not really needing a solid weld on the stuff im welding. i can weld normal perfectly fine i just prefaie to do this on skips and containers etc because its more than strong enough. thanks againJust because something looks pretty doesn't mean it's a good weld. Unfortunately that wouldn't pass 9606, you're gonna have a defects in that, I'd put money on that failing the x-ray for lack of fusion.
The second weld, the 3ft long one, is better, but jumping large amounts to get a stacked ripple is prone to all sorts of issues.
Also, don't pull a mig, you can, but with a greater risk of inclusions. Remember, only drag if there's slag.
