No, neither the fuse in the plug nor the fuse in the MIG blew. Although I had a 13A fuse blow in the machine a few months ago and replaced no problem.
It does have some wiring diagrams, I'll post them asap.
Today I checked points in the socket which the torch screws into, no voltage there.
Today I took the contactor out; several, if not all the contacts were very carbonised, I cleaned them and replaced the reassembled contactor.
I also removed the PCB in the hope that it might shed some light, doesn't appear, to my untrained eye to be anything wrong with it.
