i dont understand, what plunger on what connectorWhen I press the plunger on the connector down the larger transformer briefly hums. I'm thinking the connector is shagged....
just link the wires at the end to try it, no point in trashing something that may not be brokenOK, got it, connected to the contactor and the gas solenoid valve.
The thermostat plugs into the core of the large transformer; it's about 15 mm long with two wires. I thought for a moment I was going to have to pull the transformer out...
So the thermostat is fried? I'll cut it off and link the wires and bypass? Then buy a new thermostat eh?
you can fit a small 240v fan and wire direct to switch or 12v fan, use a transformer and wire that to the switchWhere/how is the fan normally mounted on MIG welders?
If the transformer is all sealed up a fan isn't going to be very effective? Would be best if it blew cold air from outside the case and through a duct through the middle of the transformer. Got a 240v extractor fan here; wish I had the know how...
Had enough now methinks....
New welder needed
Methinks its time to get the multimeter out, I still cant make out the wiring diagram, can you get the resolution betterHad enough now methinks....
