No it's proper stone!! We've got a limestone quarry in the village and I made that mistake in the first year I moved here.
That garden path has since been redone !!!
a builder I was working for re laid the drive with dolomite when it was -wetyou found out about pudding the hard way it gets everywhere
I-said I-wouldn't If -- I was u wait till it dries . he compacted it and all the water came to the surface and as u say went like a pudding.he gravelled it and even a week later it was going everywhere and all mushed up and couldn't be used .
I just laughed at him and said told u so 
Get caught pouring diesel onto the ground by the wrong person and a muddy drive will be the least of your worries.
Now how much will I need and what is the recommended/optimum depth required? The area to be covered is 60 metres long and 3.5 meters wide
