still haven't got to the bottom of what's wrong with mine, power light comes on but nowt else, any pointers appreciated as I aint that good with electrickery.

Hi Guys,
It went bang again ! very loud bang. I replaced the fet putting 2 together this time. It worked again for a while then then something else blew. I often buy cheap stuff and spend more time fixing it all than i do making things so decided to buy after much deliberation a R-tec plasma.
Got the one for just over 400 bit less using a voucher code from on here ( cheers guys) it arrived next day. has worked good so far. It uses the same cheap consumables as the cheapo cut 50. The only reason I went for this one is it has a 2 year gte where they collect and return. After the luck I've had with plasmas i thought i need this. The cut 50 blew up then I bought a hypertherm from gumtree and it went ""MISSING""! at a parcelfarce branch.. and it took nearly a month for my postal insurance to pay up!. I'm hoping it's turd time lucky.
