Thanks Rikrobson, I,ve ordered replacements of the red one, do you mean replace the big black ones? cheeersYou'll probably be better to replace the Big Capacitor as well. You dont know if this has sustained damage, was the couse of or contributed to the failure.

It's the bottom board. I have cleaned it up today with some 50 year old malt as mentioned earlier (smiley face) I don't know what the component is yet I can see 2R2 printed on the component and there is something written underneath, ill se solder it tonight and see what it says.
