FWIW the few times i've encountered wheels that were stuck to the hub or "seized" wheel bolts it's on a car i've just bought or when helping out a neighbour. Every "seized" bolt i've mangaged to get out in one piece had been overtightened to the point it had yielded i.e. rust had nothing to do with it. The necked threads were obvious once the copper grease and swarf had been cleaned off...
When wheel(s) were stuck to the hub and didn't come free from a well aimed blow i've always just put the bolts back in but only nipped up and moved the car back and forth a few times... kinda like dealing with a stuck clutch but less exciting than starting the thing in gear with the clutch pedal down and hoping it frees off before you run out of room
if it clacks once or twice then there is obviously something wrong.I've seen nuts going on where the hammer is working all the way down the thread.
You talkin air ratchetWhy not wind it on with an air ratchet and finish with a torque wrench?![]()
I have never had safety issues with nut guns it is the bit holding the gun trigger, that is the issue. In the interests of safety, what was wrong with spinning the nuts up with the good old fashioned spider, Studs/bolts in good condition run up easily and quickly with very little effort, OK whiz the nuts off with a gun but refit by hand,

Just out of curiosity, what sort of bar?
The wheelnut wrench supplied with a car is 'almost always' of a length that an average strength person can do up the nuts properly without straining themselves - the disco one folds so that you can only use the full length to undo them...
