Why??Get a new , decent brand, battery angle grinder, then get a body only drill that uses the same battery, because who doesn't like new tools

Fair enough, you've had a bad experience - and had that happened to me, I doubt I'd be speaking highly of them!
I believe "performance power" is cheap and grey?I bought a cordless drill from B&Q about a year and a half ago, it was the cheapest they had at the time for about £30 (can't remember the make but was gray in colour). I didnt expect much to be honest, and only wanted it specifically for grinding tingstens. Its ok for deburing holes with a countersink, but does not grip a drill bit very well....hardly at all really. might be ok for screwing. It does its job well for grinding tungstens though
Battery life has been good so far, but does take a few hours to fully charge.

I'm just after a semi-decent std drill/driver with the ability to knock the odd small hole into brickwork if necessary.
I really don't want to be looking at any more than £60, I can't justify it for the little amount of use it will get........and I want to upgrade my macro lens.
I checked today at work, it is a Worx that we have. A quick look on eBay and I can't find the same model, but although it's no Makita the quality is certainly adequate for the amount of use you'll be asking of it. Well worth looking at them I think.
Worx is argos brand...check em out there.
black and decker I acquired one of those ages ago and the funny thing is I part charged it once and it held its charge surprisingly well and for the amount of time I charged it lasted okIf the OP hasn't bought a drill by now, I'll personally drive to his house and give him the Black and Decker thing I have sat in my garage unopened. It was a post-Makita gift I didn't have the heart to reject.
Joking aside he can buy it for fifty bones.
I was given a parkside soldering gun but it was useless the tip glowed red hot and you just couldn't get it to tinI bought one of the lidl parkside cordless drills (the green ones) a couple of years back and find it good seeing as it cost next to nothing. I was expecting very little from it but it has surprised me.
a lot of the cheaper tools are getting better but for drills / screwdrivers you cant beat being able to change the gearing especially for driving screws, the drivers that are not able to change gears spin to fast and just ruin the driver bit and screw headI don't make a habit of buying cheap tools, i used to but its false economy. This drill did surprise me though, its been worked for a couple of years now and its great as a screwdriver. When it goes bang i will buy a better one though.
my dewalt started getting slower last year and was the batteryI got a dewalt earlier in the year for 130ish from B&Q cos it was on 'offer'
Bloody thing started dropping speed intermittently after a few months usage for no reason
And ive lost the receipt
