Honestly, you should be downright ashamed of yourself.

Well, I could say in all honesty it could be worse, it could be Silverline.......but the exact same model is also available in Silverline livery!Honestly, you should be downright ashamed of yourself.
I'm just after a semi-decent std drill/driver with the ability to knock the odd small hole into brickwork if necessary.Bang on, if you don't use such an item real regular the batteries go duff. Are we talking SDS / SDS+ here or just the std drill driver with hammer setting?. If its the former get a plug in for sure, the latter if the batteries are too dear to replace Makita but look out for sly tricks with all makes were they add a little lug and the like to stop people being able to use their "older model batteries" often it just takes a few seconds to un-modify them
battery angle grinders are crap i wouldnt have one given . just buy a drill driver the best u can aford at the cheapest price for intermittent use .Get a new , decent brand, battery angle grinder, then get a body only drill that uses the same battery, because who doesn't like new tools
I love new tools....but I don't need a cordless angle grinder.Get a new , decent brand, battery angle grinder, then get a body only drill that uses the same battery, because who doesn't like new tools
get looking in screwfix and toolstation or b and q or ebay . see what turns up at the best price if there on offer . its a waiting gameWe seem to be going all round the houses here.
I do not want an angle grinder.
I do not want to spend £100+ on a top brand drill that will be sat idle for most of the time.
I will not be using it for heavy use, it only needs to drive the odd few screws and drill the odd hole round the house.
All I want is recommendations for a half-decent non bank-breaking cordless combi-drill to replace my perfectly adequate but tired bargain-basement one that's served me well for several years, that's all.
if its only going to get the occasional use that you state, most stuff will fit the billget looking in screwfix and toolstation or b and q or ebay . see what turns up at the best price if there on offer . its a waiting game

Not too impressed at the moment with Milwaukee. Coughed up for an 18V drill and compact impact gun and the drill popped its clogs inside the warranty period and was replaced so fair enough I thought. Impact gun bit the dust during the week. Never dropped and any nut its ever taken off was loosened first. Carrying it back to where I got it tomorrow but I know its outside warranty so not holding out much hope.
