Yes the travel speed is more about heat inputs, I will state the weld size in the joint sketch. I don't really know why the heat input has to be on the WPS really as the welder doesn't really need to know that.
That would be brilliant thanks, I'll PM you now.I think I only have ones up to around 12mm but will see what I can dig out, let me have your email address and I'll send you what I have

Has the book already arrived? If not, I can make some scans this weekend. Have been really busy this week, but I can make some time today.
I'm in training until the end of next week, so don't have scanner access here.
Here's just some quick pics I made with my cell phone.
Ah I see that's good to know, I'll just put them into metric and put them straight onto WPS. I have a copy of WPS maker too which is really good and comes with a few pre made WPS's.Its American so "productivity" is king. The settings are nearly always on the high side. Sometimes there is a choice of "coded" and these are more quality biased. I would use those settings.
Would you put those settings straight onto a WPS?
Do you need WPS'ses or pWPS'ses?
I use those tables as a rough guideline for either price calcs or to get started, but if you need those pWPS'ses to get qualified, you have to use your own settings either way. Thses tables might just help you getting started.
