I must admit..a baileigh industrial lathe and milling machine would be nice..and got me eye on a huge phase 3 bench grinder...wish list should be.I want I want I want
It would be cool to have a nice big stationary engine running a line shaft powering every tool![]()
How did I forget my Fluke, it was one of the first tools I ever got, it's an old autoranging one given to me when I was 6 from a guy my dad works with called Mr Christmas (Seriously, how cool is that).
Tools I love:
Radial Arm Saw. Elu MOF177 Router. My Wadkin table saw. My van.
No I already have a bigger lathe..lolTo be replaced by something bigger we can never have enough machinery...to much is never enough....half the battle is the room to put it all...
I've got an older one than that, a 1927 14" Stillson, I can't remember the make but it starts with an I and it sounds japaneseI have a 36 year old, 15" Adjustable spanner.
Yes I agree..a garage the size of Sainsbury's to get it all in....not so much tools but could do with a bigger garage.
I have for many years lol...normally involves taking a diagram to a machine shop and spending half hour explaining to someone that ain't got a clue what your going on about....time consuming and very annoying...all be it.i understand that some of us don't talk in complicated machinist language ...but am busting for a mill and a lathe..next year I hopeHow do people survive without a lathe & mill

Haha...put ya foot down fella...you get that printer this yearI love ALL my tools ...even the ones that scare me... but I have two that I'd say I like to the point of being sentimental over!
The first is one of those small, cheap pillar drills, made by Nu-Tool, that has sat in the corner of every shed and or workshop that I've had since the mid 80s. It probably hasn't been used for ten years or more, the belt guard is a bit bent from being moved time and time again, but it's plugged in and always ready to go... and sitting on a bench nearby is a 4" Clarke belt linisher, that I bought at the same time, that has probably been used on 90% of all that I've made over the last 30years, without ever missing a beat!
...and as for my wish list. I've promised myself that this is the year that I finally get that 3d printer that I've been threatening my wife with for a year or two!

This is my favourite tool right now, I bought it for basically the price in scrap as a write off non runner and had lots of fixing and learning to do about the inside, but now its cool having my own personal thunderstorm in the shed. Have to admit cacking myself the first time I ran it under full power, most of that cabinet at the end of the video is massive transformers and control circuits and it needs feeding 3 phase @30amp on the supply...
This is something its done, thats a biro tip, and the material is 6mm thick 316 stainless...
Whats mind blowing is the tiny cut hole to the left of the main one was where part of my toolchain was in imperial and another part in metric, and it tried to cut a metric part 1/26th the size. And you can see the detail under a magnifying glass...
This is my favourite tool right now,
That is an amazing bit of kit to be sure! ...er, what exactly is it?!
