Looking for fabricators/engineers/makers for new TV project

She has not been back to see the general response, other than a visit half an hour after posting, perhaps believing people to be tripping over themselves to get on TV.Only Wozzaaah had replied by then.

Reading the blurb I would expect that the majority of 'subjects' are going to be disabled in some way and the inventions will be very specific. I certainly do not have the electronic, nor the mechanical nouse, to do such things. I did little bits for Littl'un when she was small, and modify stuff even now for her, but I am sure there is a massive amount of gaps in the services and aides available, but equally, there are many things which are available to some which are not known about by all.

I wish luck to you all giving it a go, and might even watch it.

Sounds like you've been messed around like mad with these types in the past. Have you had any good experiences with any?

Generally bad with TV people but always good with the magazine guys and photographers,
another one where i was expected to jump for the TV company...
I was booked to have my car at an indoor car show, due to arrive with the car on the friday,
TV-AM rep phones up thursday morning while i was at work,
"Bring you car here today as we'd like to film it for tomorrow mornings show"
i explain i'd need to take the day out of work to come over with the car and its about a 100mile round trip,
would you be willing to help cover my out of pocket expenses i ask?
"No but your car might be on TV tomorrow morning"
for some reason they were offended by my answer

I was on TV once when I was nineteen-ish. We had done a model of Rothmans, which was a bit spooky considering where i ended up later on, I was on Tyne-Tees evening news and in the Chronicle holding one of my forklifts, about 20mm long.

My mam taped it but I have not got a tape player any more.

I've worked FOR a tv production company (technical consultant on something). The only people getting renumerated on this one will be the consultants brought in, not the cannon fodder forming the product.

I made the local evening news when they were filming us going out on strike (again) at Longbridge in the 80's and again recently when they were filming/interviewing drivers about falling fuel prices at our local petrol station.

I replied but haven't heard anything back yet. I'd imagine anything done will be unique as you would hope anything commonly needed by several people has already been done.

I'm not imagining they are going to be paying for this stuff but if it's genuinely going to help the people on the receiving end then I'm OK with that so long as I can fit it into weekends and holidays (and they don't mess me around as with the examples given).

But then I'm not banking on a reply as I'd imagine they'll get a lot of replies from similar adverts in a lot of places.

completely off topic,

but this video is for the design, fabrication and engineering of a TV project, rebuilding the Emley Moor TV transmitter 45 years ago, still tallest free standing structure in the uk (still taller than the shard).I guess it's still reality TV though as it's what really happened.
