I'm currently making some planters for the wife to grow some tomatoes in, however I have a feeling filming this may not provide the thrilling televisual feast you are after. It'll just involve me repeatedly burning myself, swearing and being shouted at that it's wrong

Looking at the list of shows they're responsible for creating, that type of stuff would likely go down a treat.

Let us know what the crack is if they do get back in touch with you BB. Don't know why, but I have the feeling they're going to want the moon on a stick for naff all cost from any potential contributors. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong though.

They will get nowt from me without at least matching what I earn now. I have sent an email, if I haven't heard back by Monday I will phone but not expecting much to be honest

Not expecting much is likely the best approach. We might just be jaded devils who are being unduly judgemental, hopefully. It's the wording of that post/flyer which has triggered my scepticism. I genuinely am curious as to what the crack is though.

I am sceptical of anything like this but need a change and this could be a good way to do it

ohhhh we like reality tv........ think they need tim hunkin and rex garrod (rex went on to build Brum the car in the tv series and Panic Attack in robot wars). anyone else remember this series from the late 1980's

I'm also a sceptic of these program makers, they want you to bend over backwards for them,
based on some of my own experience with these people,
for example, heres a couple of the several experiences...

A team of 4 of us were booked for a week of filming on a an episode of "Monster garage"
met with the makers, they viewed some of the stuff we'd done, did screen tests,
they then gave the date for filming, we all booked the time out of work,
then guess what? Nothing! not a single bit of contact from the makers right up until a week before filming,
one of us had to phone them when they said they're using another team if i remember.

Another, "Fifth gear" only 18 months ago, they contact me about an event they want to cover and could i/we help with info, provide some cars for filming and interviews etc,
countless phone calls bounce to and fro,
assisting the filming crew at the event in Sweden,
they even wanted ME to add Jonnie Smith the presenter to my insurance so he could drive my car!
filming done at one part of the event from inside my car as they couldn't get a pass for their car,
an interview with me one evening,
and when the program aired, guess what?
one of our cars in the background of some general filming!

Theres been other similar experiences but cant be arsed to type any more,

That's the type of scenario which popped into my head with this one. Is scepticism a blessing or a curse?

Sounds like you've been messed around like mad with these types in the past. Have you had any good experiences with any?

I have had a good experience well as a by product.

I took my car into a 'certain' place where they do one of the restoration series and got a rather subsidised job done. Lets say they only charged me for labour and even that was questionable and it had to be cash. All the materials and time in the spray oven disappeared cost wise.

I dare say the e type and Quattro they were doing had a bit of a higher bill on them and no idea how they would pass off the metallic blue paint they needed on the system.
