I recently did an 08 transit tipper rear calliper, the disc and pads were that worn one pad had long since disappeared and the piston had worn a huge groove in the disc I think the calliper alone was around £360 plus disc and pads the guy only noticed something was wrong because a light illuminated on the dash

I only had to wind o/s back in, the n/s had to be removed with a hammer the piston was out at and angle and had no chance of getting it back in

Well it was not me that was charged for it lol

We use after market rebuilt units less than half that price .
Quality as well
Disc rear brakes are a proper pain
Not needed on the average production car

I think the tranny rear wheel drive isn't the best design having to remove the half shaft and the huge wheel bearing retaining nut simply to renew the rear disc

Early Vauxhall movano is same near side LHT
I did two vans, rear pads for the same firm on same day immediately after each other, first van left caliper was LHTwind back,----- the second van one year younger left caliper was RHT With the same part number pads !!
