hi all. nev from melbourne australia. after months of surfin the web 4 welding sites i stumbled across this one. absolutley fantastic for the begginner (ie me). I have a resto project in the shed and after viewing the tutorials and reading the wealth of info in the forums and spending a month or 2 practicing i am now confident i can have a go at the dreaded rust in the old holden. having a father who used to do a fair bit of farm welding and has completed a tafe welding course, give my welds the tick of approval, gave me a boost. i am using a borrowed unimig120 welder have an auto helmet and gloves, just need to find the time. first project will be an auto rotisserie out of a couple of engine stands and once the old girl is up off the floor we will kick in. will try to post photos etc time permitting (its hard enough to find the time to weld let alone post photos when u have a wife and 2 teenage kids!!) great site well done nevhtgts
