My old fella smoked for 37 years but he gave up instantly when he had a heart attack, aged 51.
He lasted 17 years before another attack got him; he'd been dead a while before I wondered why, in all those 17 years, did nobody ever suggest he could be a candidate for a heart transplant...
only 40i was on 60 and jacked in . never put an ounce on .tryed a bit of blow since just a couple though
for research of course
Smoked Cigs from an early age, (12ish) until I was 26. At that point I was burning well over 30 a day. I tended to stop when I had a cold as they tasted horrid. So after a really bad cold I've never picked up another one.
As for what it can cause my Father in law never smoked yet died a horrendous death from lung cancer, wasn't one for going out so never really came into contact with other smokers. Go figure!
At the end something is going to get you be it the Number 10 bus, or an Embassy Number 1 fag. There's one thing for sure, the sooner I go the less jobs I will have to finish![]()
work, works canteen buses, all sorts of places in the past to inhale 2nd hand smoke, I suspect some of us are more tolerable and other succumb to it, the powers that be are trying to stop people smoking and will lose massive revenue in the process, but will save more not having to treat smoking related illness
