seems with all the sky scrapers they seem to have forgot to build a sewage treatment plant. these are the trucks that take the waste from dubai.

its the sh ,,.,.ts i got a farmer to empty my cess pit with his slurry tanker , he drove it through the high street and the gate valve was leaking it stunk the place out for hours good job the old bill didnt follow the trail

I was in Dubai for the first time in Jan and I was amazed at how many Indians work there. They get shipped in for almost all of the jobs from the menial and labourers jobs up to middle/upper management and everything in between. There are about 7 million people living in the UAE and only about 2 million of them are Emeraties!

With the exception of the police I don't think I saw a "local" working!

I believe back in victorian times the cack was collected by night soilmen and taken off in barges or horses and carts and sold to farmers, balzalgette the engineer stopped all that s**t when he built his sewers.

Not sure if they have the same system as in qatar. If you want to start a company there you need a qatarian as partner, if you dont know one they supply you with one.

They normally work a 10 year contract then go home rich enough to buy property, pay a dowrie etc.

The factory we put some robots into had the Indians quartered in 16 bed bunkrooms behind the factory and they worked a 6 day week.

Yes I don't think we realise how fortunate we are sometimes. I know we don't get nothing for nothing (unless you have no shame and are prepared to abuse the system) but if you see what they are prepared to do to better themselves and make a better life for their family, its humbling sometimes.

A couple of Indian salesmen and a welder i worked with over there lived there for 3 or 4 months at a time away from their wives and kids just so they could earn more money than back home.
