Started my re born bikeing with a Transalp, moved on to a BMW R1200 gs,which was a lovely machine but didn't like the stories i was reading about the reliability ie final drives, ring antenna, fuel pump failure ect, although ive got to say i had no problems.
Now i have a 2006 700 Deuville which i love, it ticks all the boxes for me,comfortable ride, actually more room than the GS when 2up and plenty of go when needed (i am 59 so no head down **** up) cheap to insure and good on fuel.i know some people call them the Dullsville but iv'e got to say i dont agree after having rode with mates who have sports bike and have to stop every 100 mile or so with aching wrists ect!
Sounds to me it could be just what your looking for.
