Just sat and read this thread from start to finish Steve, all I can say Is awesome craftsmanship....a true when's the gasser project coming online mate, my all time favorite strip car which you should remember was the Pioneer Willys gasser 'Slick Willy'.... but heard nothing of it since the Blackbushe roll.

It's a 514cubic inch Cadillac V8, 8/71 Weiand blower, 2 x 600cfm edelbrock 4 barrel blower carbs, gas flowed heads, hydraulic roller cam, forged pistons etc etc 850bhp on 5psi 1050bhp on 12psi

here you are conversion cu to cc

514 (cubic inch) = 8 422.9509 cubic centimetres

The straightened body sat, or rather hung[from the roof] of Pete Goddards workshop for some time. I think molds were taken from it and the body of a car a mate had came from it. And I think it ended up as a street car.

The motor was used by Pete in his funny and I think it then saw action in
Ronnie Picardos funny. Last I saw of it was late 80's when a local bloke had it and was putting it in his street Cuda. I gather it was nicked, well most of it. The block is sitting in mates workshop.
