So true you could however build your table first and then build your workshop around that. That was an asolute bargain for that amount of steel and it looked pretty decent too as opposed to some old slab

Glad to be of service, I did think about it but an almost a 400 mile round trip to get it didn't seem worth while....considering I was In Chesterfield last weekend.

It's not too far from me, and I've got a really good relationship with a local company in the Pallet ways/force network. I can get stuff picked up or delivered for not a lot.

I only live 5 miles from Chesterfield and I hardly ever go there nowadays, what's drawing you there from Essex? Put an axle in the middle, some wheels on it and make a nice see saw for the garden till you think what to do with it.

Sound like its a true Surface Plate as its cast and webbed they did state a surface plate but it looked like a piece of steel plate.

A 8ft x 3 ft Surface Plate seems to be about 3500.00+ GBP new, that not a resssult its:
