1. Get a pallet service to deliver the machine.
2. Try your luck and see if they can deliver it to your garage/workshop.

If step 2 is not possible, proceed to step 3.

3. Buy a pallet truck on fb marketplace (£50-£150) as the backup option.
4. Get a friend to help/keep an eye on the load/steady it by hand.
5. If the pallet and machine can only be dropped off at the road, use your pallet truck to lift the pallet and tow the whole pallet truck and machine with car/van or whatever you have. Even the recovery point on a car/van will work just fine for such a light load over such a short distance.

Thanks for all the input I have called all sorts of services job is either too small or it is company to company service not for private
Most economical would be to rent a fork lift for a day or two you can get a battery forklift from £26 per day but they will only hire out to companies
I have not really seen a farmer around my area with a JCB or bale lift let alone a tractor although ploughing and harvesting season there is loads of shiny stuff floating about but they work 24/7 till jobs done then disappear turns out these are all rental. Most farms around me mainly does horses with one farm still cultivating but he says they just do seasonal rentals.

@addjunkie I don't think I have ever not considered that the issue is not mine to solve fingers crossed all will work out.

When I finally get to the crunch of it I was told no it is a manual palette truck and they will only deliver to the nearest flat surface which suggest way down the hill in the cul-de-sac

I'd take a punt that having a crisp £50 note in your hand would help the delivery driver get up the drive and to your garage.

I've always found delivery guys (and girls) to be extremely helpful if your nice to them and have everything ready so they're not hanging around.

And if that fails. Get them to drop it on the flat bit, stick a tarp over, and once the neighbours get fed up of it being there I'm sure they'll give you a hand moving it.

I know - moving my 5000kg was a doddle
My mate Peter helping me. HIAB was a very hefty one on a 26 tonner. Couldnt get it in through the roller shutter even though he got quite close. A baby tirfor only rated at 300kg. Some nice big rollers I salvaged out of a skip 20 years ago. Had a lip to get over and about 80 feet to move it in a very congested space. Steering my tapping rollers with a sledge.

I just read up on the crane - 11500kg right up close. At 5000kg you only have a reach of about 5m so not surprising he struggled.
It would lift my Colchester Triumph out to 16m!!!
I am sad - I have a thing about HIAB style cranes

Scaff tubes are a very good way to move stuff on a flat surface, would work for a pallet quite well if you used a 1” think piece of ply on the bottom of the pallet. Couple of folk with crow bars to help steer and move tubes as required.

These are larger diameter and stronger than scaffolding - the things people throw away
Used them, loads of times over the years!

I did not want to make the chap nervous so I did not take any pictures but Initially he tried to offload in the Cul-de-Sac after the initial battle with the hill he rolled it back in the truck and reversed it up the hill, he said he have never seen so many error messages on the truck before, something like a 153 messages warnings and error messages. Offloaded and slipped it smoothly into the garage.

Happy to recommend Fizzy and Speedshift team we did have a miscommunication but all got sorted leading to a smooth delivery

Brilliant - glad the driver went the extra mile. It really was very poor access. The problem is that depots often send a Luton in where it is tight and they only have 500kg tail lifts on a good day.
