Hi Guys

Doing a second round
I am looking for a machine mover Landy Lift no longer operates in My Area
I need a Harrison Mill moved from
Kings Lynn
Norfolk

To
Burghfield Common
Berkshire
It's packed and ready to go
I already spoke to a shipping handler
Problem is the access to my area it is all tarmac but there is some mention that the 7.5 ton might not make it the last section which is the section marked on Yellow below .
First I was told that all trucks came with electric Pallet truck
When I finally get to the crunch of it I was told no it is a manual palette truck and they will only deliver to the nearest flat surface which suggest way down the hill in the cul-de-sac
Bit frustrating this thing is a heavy beast I don't see myself pulling this thing up the hill
SO I thought I would hire a forklift but none of the companies I contacted would hire a fork lift to a private person
I tried to find a man and forklift service but open to suggestions or alternate bespoke delivery service that can help me get it the last 100 meters in Berkshire
Landylift drove it right up to my garage door but they no longer provide the service in my area

Look for moffet delivery services...truck mounted all terrain forklifts...used to use one on brick and block work and it was amazing where you get them

There are some cute little mini-telehandlers available nowadays. I'm sure most hire places will rent them to individuals. They would replace your forklift. A lot safer too.

From what I see in the pic the access is perfectly good for a 7.5t truck. Otherwise I would grab a couple of local lads and give the 20 quid each to help shove the pallet truck.

But then if you saw where I have had to get machines in and out of you would understand that literally nothing daunts me.

For an update - the OFFICIAL terms for pallet networks are different to the reality. 7.5 tonners usually have 1000kg tail lifts but are often limited to 750kg for health and safety.
Electric pallet truck are NOT guaranteed although in practice almost everyone now uses them - prices have come down a lot to around £900 and they make life a lot easier.
Of course with restricted access it is all down to the driver on the day.
Very bad access needs a Luton and their tail lifts are only 500kg including the pallet truck!
Moffetts are awesome - but very rare and cost an arm and a leg!

This is why I built myself a nice little trailer - 2500kg payload legally. Tyres are rated to 4000kg - each
Forklift there just in case.

If it was me and I was in a rush id use an engine crane lie it on its back and lift it onto a trailer on into the back of a van , ive move a few lathes wieghing about that and my mill/drill is 450KG went straight in the back of my old belingo.

When i move my Bridgeport it was a rush job before the unit close so had to tear it down

OK on the smaller stuff but an engine crane struggles on stuff over 600kg especially if you can't get close enough. If the legs were further apart and you could get in close then yes.
