We flat earthers understand the Earth is the centre of the universe, the sun & the moon are not millions of miles away, but where your eyes see them
just a few miles away from the ground we stand on, the flat level, non rotating one, with stars rotating around the north star, the same stars we have mapped
for millenia that tell us what time & season it is.

This image describes how we fundamentally don't see the same thing, I'll explain...

I see a semi circle of light, not a sphere, there is no shading to suggest it is spherical, but there are patches of grey, having studied art, shading is fundamental
to demonstrating the form of an object. Also from purely rational, objective point of view, it doesn't display itself as a solid object, as the lower half is transparent
showing the background colour through it, compare the blue moon image to a cgi star wars image, this is how a spherical planet would look like, shadows represent a spherical object and it being an incomplete sphere shows the background behind it, like the genuine moon image, which you've all seen it.

Getting back to my point, the blue moon image..... You on the other hand see a solid object, yet half of it is missing, you are unwilling to accept half of it is transparent, because you hold the belief through years of indoctrination, that the moon is a solid object in space, thousands of miles away & humans have been there.

To conclude you see a solid object, I see a hologram.

People knew it was a globe earlier than that but it was a Greek, Eratosthenes who calculated the circumference (very accurately it turned out).

Gravity applies to all matter. It requires large amounts of matter before it becomes noticeable ie you stay on the planet!
