Can't see them doing that. They still have the 22 billion hole to fill !When the tanker drivers went in strike in the early 2000s it was chaos because the queues spilled out onto the roads in London and everything got stuck.
I'm a little surprised we haven't seen gov intervention yet...cutting the fuel duty would seem pretty obvious thing to do.
It is getting very worrying. Logistics companies going to be badly hit - which means supply problems and huge price increases in the shopsBeen to out local this morning for some petrol for the mower. They are out of petrol and diesel![]()

I assume that is petrol? Diesel around here has jumped from £1.63 to £1.70 overnight in Tesco. Smaller retailers are up at £1.80 or moreYesterday - two Sainsburys and two Tesco at 144, but everything else at 150.
Today, only Tesco is 144, Sainsburys 146 and the others that were 150 are now 153+
I havent been to Tesco - I dont use them.. but I suspect Sainsburys would be getting fed up with the extreme queues caused by being cheapest in a very wide area.
Yep I can see this happening. people are going to stop ordering big things maybe ? What is going to happen in you need an emergency USB lead from Amazon prime ??It is getting very worrying. Just think of all the extra tax money to fix the potholes, its a win honestlyI assume that is petrol? Diesel around here has jumped from £1.63 to £1.70 overnight in Tesco. Smaller retailers are up at £1.80 or more
And lets not forget about a £1 of that is tax tax tax!
And you honestly think that's where the money will goJust think of all the extra tax money to fix the potholes, its a win honestly

No potholes are seen as a traffic calming measure. They have certainlly got worse here in the last two months and it cant be blamed on the weather, it has been very warm winter. Deep potholes too, like the one that burst my tyre a few years back and buckled the wheel.Just think of all the extra tax money to fix the potholes, its a win honestly
It is actually illegal to put petrol in the wrong container. In fact, technically, a 20L jerry can should only be half full as the dispensing limit is 10L. A nonsense law of course and totally unenforceable considering what this "Stupid woman" just did. Why did nobody stop her? I would have. She turned her car into a potential bomb!Ok then it has reached a new level of stupidity.

Moment 'selfish' Brit fills up carrier bags with petrol amid fuel crisis
An astonishing video caught the moment a driver filled orange Sainsbury's bags with petrol at the pumps before she was branded 'selfish' onlinewww.mirror.co.uk
Video is a massive pain to watch and not worth the effort, but in summary, woman fills several sainsbury carrier bags with petrol, puts them in boot, open at the top.
I thought bags had to have holes to limit child suffocation risk? They are not leak proof!
If it were diesel, she is just going to have a very smelly, ruined car. If it was actually petrol, I would expect fire to occur by the first roundabout.
