It's also the day after monthly payday for a lot of people, Costco was slightly busier than usual this week - but I was also an hour later than usual as the Mrs. needed dropping off at work, so probably not the harbinger of impending shortages.
Prices were up from last week, but not massively, an extra £6 to fill the tank.

Just filled with diesel at Sainsburys (western Edinburgh) 165.9ppl.
Unleaded there was 139.9ppl.

Came up the A68 saw advertised prices for diesel as high as 196.9ppl.

Diesel 189.9ppl at Fyneside yesterday (Highland Fuels) think that's the most I have ever paid

Paid €1.88/L for E10 last night, but that was after the Irish Govt knocked off 15c/L duty as a shock reduction measure until May, iirc.
Should have been €2.03/L

Just been to Costco at 158.9p. Absolutely mad queues and nearly lost my rag when a taxi cut around and nearly took my bumper off whilst cutting other taxis up, which ended up with one of them getting out and modifying his door with his flip flops. Ended up just laughing and letting him know he’s a hand job. Lots of horns and yelling as people took forever at the pumps. The world is going mad.
