Farting Around With E7018 Rods

Not quite.

This time, I tried to keep a tighter arc and an angle of about 70 degrees or so. I also went a bit slower too. A wire wheel on a grinder was used to clean off the slag.

Everything was the same as the other day, 90 Amps with 2.5mm E7018 rods. All mill scale was removed beforehand.

Back to the new pix, steeper angle, almost straight on, maybe 5-10 degrees total tilt.
Are you whipping ?
Inconsistent puddle looks like a whip motion.
Lay the rod in there, let it do it's work, and watch the leading edge of the rod, allow a small
amount of puddle ahead, just a slight amount.
