Much quieter than a grinder though................the motor's a bit noisier than i'd hoped

following on from my query over here - https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/femi-782xl-suppliers-options.147961/ - this arrived this morning. should cut down on the fire extinguisher budget vs angle grinding everything
went with stakesys in the end, was about to go with lineone, but when i went to buy their price had shot up to be within £50 of stakesys price, i figured i don't mind paying that extra to ease any warranty issues should they crop up
first impressions: lock levers look a bit prone to snapping, the power lead is too short, the motor's a bit noisier than i'd hoped. But square out the box, easy to keep square, really nice mitres, just munches through everything thrown at it (admittedly nothing chunkier than 50x50x3 angle and 25x25x2.5 box so far)

I've had the Stakesys one for a few years - didn't pay that much for it (or I wouldn't have bought it!) - excellent saw, suited for limited industrial use I reckon.I bought this one:

FEMI ABS105 Automatic Swivel Head Portable Metal Cutting Bandsaw 230 volt
FEMI ABS105 Automatic Swivel Head Portable Bandsaw 230 voltFrom the world's leading portable bandsaw manufacturers. 100% made in Italy, the superb entry level Femi ABS105.The same size as the 782XL but with Femi's patented ABS (Automatic Blade System). Thstakesys.co.uk
Had it a while now and on to my second blade, the original lasted exceptionally well, but the saw itself is an absolute necessity in my opinion, no sparks, no horrible row and although you are right, the motor is a bit loud I have soon become accustomed to it. I learned my lesson though when chopping something up that hardened steel destroys blades :-(
Looks about right for that manufacturerExhaust link pipe for the Mazda 6, made by BM. Listed as 409 stainless.
On here we can be a bit fussy with welded items but I wasnt expecting the hole in second pic. Its a bit poor..
