It's not. It's a tree I cut up a few week ago which had toppled over onto the garden wall.

If you have an old photo of the tree, perhaps find it on street view?
Looks ro have been dead a while, perhaps why it toppeled over..

The PlantNet app on phone is quite good, tho that log may be too far gone.

Not Cherry. I'll pop down the wood shortly & see if the stuff I left down there has any bark on it. I'll grab a photo if it does.

As a general rule, freshly cut, recently living trees will be much easier to split than dried and seasoned dead stems
Dry stuff is best done in a log splitter, rather than manual axe smashing..
