Those screw threads .. made one on the lathe and the other using a stock & die ?

I can't remember. Guessing stock and die. I do recall screw cutting the M12 thread on the machine vice on the lathe.

Sorry, given my age it's always been the stock response if anyone mentions "school".

Back in the day an "approved school" was a residential school for young offenders.

I knew I'd posted these somewhere on the forum in the past.....10years ago. Worth a repost in this thread. These are the various bits I made as an EITB apprentice 84-88, plus some from metalwork in school in 82-84. All hidden in my EITB toolbox which I'll need to dig out

They do.

My best mate's son (mid 20s now) did a degree-apprenticeship and he'd made an almost identical box. I was as pleased as Punch when he showed it to me.
