Probably 10+ years old, so I've had decent value from it. Just picked up a Noco charger from halfords. Even with a trade card it's still a fair bit more expensive, so hopefully will last a while.

My Lidl charger stopped working recently, the standby light is on but it will not change functions like it did. It's years old but still looks like new.
Why not take it back now and ask them to show some compassion?
Tell them it took so long to return because you couldn’t get your car started.

That fault appeared in one of mine, but so far it has responded to firmly poking the button and holding it. I had a look, turns out it's a fairly common fault and can be fixed just as if it's a remote (same kind of grid and rubbery conductive contact, apparently). If mine gets worse I'll have a look at it.

New seals, the one leek fixed with a new gasket. Air pressure test was carried out.
2 pre-warms and all seamed good.
In steam, looking good.
This could be the end of this engine.

I can't find a screwdriver bit that fits the screws to take it apart. I'll have to look what they are under some magnification.
I was trying to deburr a difficult to access hole last night. Couldn't get in with a rose, but I have a 10mm dia, 150mm long carbide 90° drill that's handy for such things.
Chucked it up in the pistol drill, pulled the trigger and immediately regretted the sound of hammer as I'd used the drill last for putting some curtains up.

Both cutting lips now have a dirty great chip at 4.5mm diameter. It'll be an interesting one to try tidy up on the D bit grinder though, I guess.

Fixed, couple of fuel filters, lots of hand pumpingWell I didn't break it, it broke itself!

Sorting things out in the mancupboard to make space for laying some 3x4 foot rectangles or angle iron to use my new die grinder to enlarge * holes 1.5 mm in dia . Saw this old ash wood chair seat about 2 foot by 2 foot with scalloped butt shallowes .
Llikely a schoolies / head masters captains type chair . I thought , " Well rather than keep moving it around I'll just take a few minutes to slice itp into 42 mm strips ready for when I turn up some wood lathe chisel handles in a few weeks time .
I set the blade so it was one tooth higher than the wood and set the side fence to 42mm , pressed the locking lever for the fence and the plastic handle disintegrated leaving me with sore knuckles .
I kicked it into touch as darkness had over taken me .. today after an early shopping trip with Alison (
Lidl's Greek week ) I'll turn up an aluminium handle and knurl it ,then fit it .

Not melted like pieces of white ear wax! The tubs show what should have happened (ie nothing, they survived 15psi / ≈121ºC).
