Today I ordered

as i will need accurate bore measuements when i make my er40 collet holder some time next week,

For that specific task it doesnt need to be accurate., even so very useful to have the gauges.
I bored mine to 32.1mm, allowing overize collets and 32mm bar into the chuck, works perfectly..

I only have a 21mm spindle bore, but I buy a decent amount of 30mm en16 and brass so being able to just chuck it in a collet is appealing to me.

Same as me on the spindle. However I can get 80mm of 32mm bar inside the collet chuck and those two milimeters extra are very useful!

i hadnt considered the length inside the collet chuck...i think at the moment i can get about 12mm of 30mm bar past the back of the chuck before it hits the spindle bore taper for the original collets, and then there is about 40mm iinside the actual chuck
